Giving to Penn Sailing

​​There are multiple avenues to give to the Penn Sailing Team, but the important thing to know is that 100% of your gift goes straight to the team, none of it is diverted away from directly impacting the student-athletes.

Annual Fund Giving

2025-2026 Goal: $100,000

​

The Penn Sailing Annual Fund is directly linked to our team account we use to pay for all operational costs. These include coaching, housing, travel, training trips, host fees, league dues and fees, equipment, and uniforms. The team competes in around 40 regattas per year, all of which are paid for by the Annual Fund.

Thanks to the hard work of current sailors, alumni and the countless other supporters of the team, we were able to raise over $90,000 through the Club Sports Madness Challenge, from March 17-21, 2026. In addition, we recieved $6,000 as a bonus for winning this challenge. Thank you so much to our supporters!

Example Costs:

One Regatta: $1,500

Training Trip: $15,000

League Dues: $5,000

Nationals: $15,000-$25,000

Endowment Fund Giving

​

The Penn Sailing Endowment Fund was created in 2017 to support a long-term plan to make Penn Sailing a permanently funded fixture at Penn. From 2018-2021 Penn Sailing Supporters raised over $500,000 during the Richard Jaffe C'76 Matching Challenge Campaign to raise over $1,000,000 to start the Endowment.
